Error while creating Child account

I am trying to create an account for my 10yr old that is supervised by me. I went through the instruction, got past birthday and but can't get past "Use data to further personalize your child’s experience?". There are two buttons options, "Allow" or "Not now" and it doesn't matter which button I press, I kept getting "Oops something went wrong - We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can" error. I have used Meta Horizon app, laptop and I keep getting same error. Even more weird Meta charged my card 0.99 cent to verify I am the parent before the account was actually fully set up! Please help. Thank you.

  • My issue was magically resolved by itself next morning when I tried again. I did not do anything different. I just thought I would give it a shot the following morning just for the hell of it and sure enough! it went past the page and I am now all set up. Thank you.

      Same happened to me. You have to wait for the bank to verify your credit card, which can take up to 3 days. The blurb when signing up makes it pretty clear that your card will be charged 99 cents to validate your ID, which will be reimbursed afterwards.

        Thanks. I just tried again and it worked. Just got the Quest 3S yesterday and couldn't get the child account set up until tonight.

  • Exact same problem, 3 months later

    I hope it works in a few days, glad I decided to try and get it set up before his actual birthday when he gets his quest 

     

    Of course Meta hasn't resolved the issue in 3 months
