Ex wife setup my kids quest and won’t let me have the info to log in

Question

I was out of town when I bought a quest 2 for my kid to play on and ex wife set it up for him when I get back to town I bought games and packs for it under her account with my card if I factory reset I lose everything I paid for and have to rebuy it all this is a paperweight in my eyes and to screw people out of money they already spent is there a way to add my account on it with out her and right now it asks to login info her account and nothing else without losing everything I paid for the support on here sucks since there is no number to call for help or any info to help resolve the issue ps she will not go on here account to add my account to it she’s mad about the divorce since she screwed up

Update thanks you for the help he called his mother today and she told our son it’s not her problem it’s her account and not his and your dad needs to figure it out poor kid hung up on his mother and said she don’t care about me I told him it would be ok so I wiped the oculus out and started new account and just bought all the games he wanted and packs so now she is off it and he is playing it I just can’t believe she would do that to her own child but he is happy now he gets to play thanks again for the help I’ll take the loss to make things back to normal for him

Before going down the factory reset path, would your ex be willing to set up app sharing on the device so your son can use those games from his own profile without needing access to her Meta account?

Also note that on the page I linked to there is a big blue "Get Support" button for account-related issues.

I don't think you can find much help here as your ex owns the account and you bought the games under her account so she legally owns the device and the games. You might need to reason with your ex or use your lawyer, but that's probably not worth it. Just write it off as a loss and move on. Meta cannot do anything without the account owners permission.&nbsp;

I figured I have all the receipts and my card number is on her account I got a new card but it’s funny how all this crap works you can prove everything but you can’t do anything about it even in support said they can change things if you can prove it but who do you talk to noone

steve_40 is pointing you in the right direction. You can factory reset but your son loses those games and you lose money. The big problem is that the account is in her name. Maybe some gentle negotiation and the app sharing option Steve mentioned can fix it.&nbsp;
