Whatever version you are on will update automatically whether it's v2.3 or PTC v2.4. It doesn't tell us what version you are on. Check your headset for your version. If you joined the PTC program you will be on v2.4. There should be no problem with v2.3. If you are on v2.3, you can back up your games and try a factory reset, it might fix it. You can also connect your headset to your pc and run the Meta Software Update tool which can fix things like this . Here is the link.

You can check it in your headset, open settings, then software update and look at the bottom of the page, it will give the version you're on. Depending on the version, follow the advice.

When you say latest OS, I assume you mean the test channel v2.4 version. You are going to be seeing lots of bugs and issues like this. Report it through the bug reporting tool on the headset. Nobody from Meta will see it here.

The meta consumer service told me to report the issue here, I am completely lost now.

I just gave you advice. Try it. Be aware there are no Meta employees here. Just users.
