For some reason First Encounters simply waits with the graphic that it has to scan the room to continue. No other help. To be honest, for a game that is central to the Quest experience, not having any more diagnosis of the problem is REALLY bad marketing.

I just checked. Scanning the room worked fine for me.
If restarting the app and/or the headset doesn't help, you probably need to reset the Quest to factory settings.

And of course,..... walk around in your room. so the scan can be completed.

Ah, I'm old enough to remember the days when your webcam or speakers on the PC didn't work and you got the reply "try resetting the PC" or "reinstall the drivers" or even "try reinstalling Windows"! So the answer is "No", I'm not going to reset the damned thing any time there's a problem and suggesting anyone does that is just an admission you don't know what the problem is and can't be bothered to recreate it to discover what the problem is.

It's totally up to you, doing a factory reset or not.
I would at least consider it.😉
And of course, you can also send a bug report and contact support to see if they can help.
I have had my Quest 3 for about a year. I can no longer scan the room to be able to play First Encountrrs. I never had this issue before. Has anyone come up with a way to fix this? I love this game!
