If you are just tapping the button, and you will only get 3 lines, that might just be bringing you to the battery power message. If there is no % number over the 3 lines maybe you need to charge the headset. However if you want to start up your headset you need to hold the power button in for a few seconds to start it up. Just tapping won't start it.
Thank you for your quick help. I tried to tap, hold it for about 10 to 30 seconds, when I hold the power button on the side, I can see a blue quest symbol but then, it just show me the same darker grey image without anything else to see. I tried also to do a reset by holding the volume down and power button but that did not help aswell after choosing the reboot option.

Hey there Huhha,
We've just come across your post regarding the boot issue you are having with your Meta Quest 3 headset. We want you to have the best possible time in VR, so we thought we'd lend a hand.
Please ensure that you have completed the setup process for your Meta Quest 3 headset prior to establishing a wired connection to your PC to dive into the world of PCVR.
After you have completed the setup process and the boot issue should persist, then, please attempt the following steps:
- Try removing any unsupported third-party accessories that may affect boot (such as external battery packs, accessories that plug into the USB-C port, etc.)
- Check for sufficient battery charge
- A headset with a very low battery charge will power itself off. This may be mistaken for a boot issue if the headset is shutting down on startup due to insufficient battery charge.
- Ensure the headset is charged by allowing it to charge for at least 2 hours.
- Note the color of the LED on the side of the headset. If after charging for 2 hours, you still see a red LED, this could be a sign of a battery or charging issue.
Let us know if this has resolved your issue, as we want to get you to experience the Metaverse as soon as possible!

Hi again Huhha,
We know how eager you are to dive into the world of VR, but the setup process for the Meta Quest 3 headset must be completed before connecting the headset to your PC. To do so, please download the Meta Horizon mobile app on your smartphone, then wirelessly connect your headset and phone to complete the setup process. More information can be found by following this link.
Should you have any other issues or questions, then don't hesitate to get in touch, as we are always more than happy to help.
We'll see you in VR!

If you get a dark screen after the horizon logo during boot-up, if it is the first time booting up (or after any software update) you could sometimes see a dark screen for up to 5 minutes or more while the software is initializing for the first time. I'm assuming you correctly pressed the power button for about 5 seconds after seeing the battery indicator screen, otherwise your headset will simply shut off again.
