Floor level too low on Quest 3 and will NOT adjust

Since the update the other day the floor level on our meta quest 3 is too low. I have tried everything. Clearing the previous boundary settings, doing the floor level and creating a new boundary but it STILL keeps it low. WTH can I do? We can't play anything and we have wasted hours trying to get the dang thing to work. And no, the lying down option isn't selected so that isn't an issue either.

  • We tried all this on both and no matter it would not work. We could get the cage boundary to go away but it would always come right back.  We were finally able to just keep clicking and clicking to find someone to chat with and they couldn't fix it either we ended up having to send both of them back. Update just did something to both our heads sets.  I hope you are able to get yours fixed. I hate we lost everything

Oh that sucks, I power cycled mine and then went into the privacy settings and cleared  the history. In the v81 menu system it was: Privacy & Safety > Device Permissions > Spatial data

I deleted and cleared the options which fixed my issues.

I am having a similar issue and have done everything listed so far on this thread to try and resolve it. This started when I updated from v79.x to v81.x I have to play all games in stationary until this is fixed.

  • When setting the floor level, you can also use the thumbstick on the controller to raise or lower the floor. The cage boundary is because you opted to set a room boundary instead of a stationary boundary. If you want to play seated, then set a stationary boundary instead. In room-scale play, the cage will only appear for your safety if you move too close to the boundary walls to let you know you are going to smack into something if you are not careful.

    Hi zoeyfanfromkpdh

We understand this can be frustrating when trying to play your favorite games but don't worry we are here to help!

Has anything in the room changed that could be effecting your sensors such as LED strips or reflective surfaces? It's important to ensure your environment is well lit but not excessively bright.

You can also try quick adjustments by pressing the Meta button on your right controller and going to quick settings and selecting boundary and choosing roomscale or stationary to re-enter the setup process and adjusting the floor height with the right joystick.

If you are still having this issue after trying the above we recommend submitting a bug report so our engineers can take a closer look at the issue.

    We hope this helps!

No nothing in the room has changed. None of this helped. And no one responds to bug reports. It should not be so hard to get to live customer service.

        Hi again zoeyfanfromkpdh,

Were you able to readjust your boundary again?

If you are still having issues please don't hesitate to get in touch!

  • I also wanted to add it keeps making this like, wire cage boundary, for lack of a better word. We can get that to go away when we do the boundary settings again THAT is another thing we have to keep doing. And this is in every game so it's definately something with the headset.
