Force audio output to headset

I am experiencing an issue with my Bluetooth-connected treadmill using the Kinneta app. While the app successfully controls the treadmill's speed and incline, the audio is also being routed to the treadmill. Since the treadmill lacks built-in speakers, I get no sound at all.

I have tried to change the Bluetooth settings in my Oculus/Meta Quest to disable audio over Bluetooth, but the option is missing. There is also no internal setting to toggle between headset speakers and Bluetooth audio.

How can I force the audio to play through the headset speakers while maintaining the Bluetooth connection for treadmill data? Thanks!

On Quest, Bluetooth devices are treated as audio devices first, so if your treadmill exposes an audio profile, the headset will route sound to it automatically

    • Check if the treadmill has a “data only” / FTMS mode or lets you disable its audio profile
    • Unpair it, then reconnect through the app’s device pairing flow only (not system Bluetooth, if supported)
    • Use a wired headset/earbuds connected to the Quest, that usually forces audio back to the headset output
