Recently bought a meta quest 3s and redeemed horizon plus games on the mobile app, A few downloaded automatically, and after I uninstalled them, they keep trying to download again.
I uninstall and remove. But then a bit later they are in the queue to be downloaded again.
How do I stop this?
In your headset under Settings->General->Cloud backup, there is a heading "Manage backups" and a link icon next to it. Open the link (you will need to log in with your Meta account or Facebook etc) and it will show you a page where you can delete or restore your app backups.
That is an answer, but sadly not a relevant one. This is an app that I want uninstalled. The app is TRIPP. I uninstall it. Then when I restart my headset, TRIPP once again auto downloads. I uninstall it. Then after a restart, the app auto downloads.
It IS relevant. Try disabling cloud backups in your headset settings and see if the problem goes away.
Didn't work. Just downloaded the game again.
I did a factory reset and used the mobile app to redeem an app. This was the culprit. Same thing happened.
Another factory reset and the issue has gone away.
Resolution is to not use the mobile app to redeem anything.
