Headset and controllers sent in for replacement but only headset returned.

About two weeks ago, my Quest 3 froze up. Neither the headset nor the controllers would do anything. After speaking with chat support, I sent both the headset and the controllers (I did not know what all was defective) for repair/replacement. The RMA instructions were not clear and since both the headset and the controllers stopped working at the same time, I sent both in.
Today, I only received the headset back...no controllers. I again spoke with chat support and all he said was something about searching the warehouse which could take around a week. Now, to my horror I find on various forums (Reedit and elsewhere) that this is a known problem, and I am unlikely to ever get my controllers back. I even asked AI to research this, and it (Perplexity) said I had less than a 30% chance to get my controllers back.
If the forums are correct, anything sent in beyond what is in the RMA is disposed of.
