HELP! You can't make this change at the moment

Hey everyone, 

I keep getting this error and I am using a trusted device in a trusted location that I have been using for years. I have also tried my mobile device too. Any ideas? See the photo below

    We understand you are having trouble with creating an developer account. 

     

    When creating a developer account we recommend you using your Credit Card as a method of verification if 2-Factor Authentication doesn't work.

  • What a garbage api and a garbage company. F'ing ridiculous. All I want to do is register and start creating an app, and you guys make it insanely difficult.

    Hi there Shane.traynor.92,

     

    Firstly, we just thought we would take a second to express how cool it is that you guys are looking to develop for Meta Quest! We hope to see your Games and creations soon! Secondly to explain the error message you are receiving. In order to turn on developer mode, and create a developer account, you must be in possession of a Quest Device. If you have only recently bought a Quest device, then you must wait a couple of days for the device to complete a Geo-Synchronisation (In non nerd terms, the device must determine which country it is in) once it has done this, then you will no longer receive this error message!

     

    We can see that you have sent us a private message, we will confirm there whether or not your device has confirmed which country it is located in!

    I do have the same issue reported in this original thread.  Can you help me get this resolved urgently, please?  I tried the credit / debit card method, but I was unable to add my card to Facebook settings since it does not allow me to change the country to anything other than the US.
