Ah well, at least you're having a good time. π I nearly spilled Guinness on mine but luckily it just missed! The rice might do it. I assume you took out the battery and left the hatch open. The only complication is that cider is a bit sticky so if it really got in there it could mess up the movement controller stick. Hopefully it didn't get too much inside. Good luck! πΊ
Hi Poofart420β π
That's bad.
It's like Maccyb123β say Cider is sticky, you probably have to take the controller apart to clean it or find someone(repair service) to do that.
And before you ask...... this is not covered by warranty.π
Rice won't work unless it can actually make physical contact with the liquid.
To fix a water-damaged Quest controller, immediately remove the battery, shake out excess water, then dry it thoroughly with a hairdryer or by placing it in a sealed container with desiccant (like silica gel) for a few days, but for best results, carefully open it to clean the circuit board and switches with isopropyl alcohol and a brush before drying completely, as corrosion is a major risk.
If you live in USA, you could send your controller to Fix my Oculus to get a quote for repair.
