How can I check my warranty

I recently have had 2 messed up controllers left hand has controller drift and right hand has controller drift is cracked and has major tracking issues. I was wondering if my oculus quest 1 still has its warranty activated so I can get replacement controllers.

Hey there, Kadne! We'd love to point you in the right direction! For warranty related issues, we ask that you submit a support ticket a we are unable to complete warranty tasks here on our Community Forum. Click the link here to get started with submitting your support ticket: https://metaque.st/Support!

As for the tracking issues, we have a couple steps to make sure that the tracking conditions are met optimally. Please make sure of the following:

    • Make sure there is enough light in your play area, we recommend playing around with different light sources to see if any changes are made!
    • Please make sure there aren't too many small lights. i.e. string or strip lights that change or or a re a static color.
    • Also, please make sure there aren't any reflective surfaces as they can cause issue with tracking and controller drifting.

Hope this helps! If you meet all theses asks, we definitely recommend submitting your support ticket to get in contact with our specialist agents who can speak with you about your warranty options!

I’ve tried everything but it still won’t work. I did the customer support but I can’t tell if the serial number I provided is actually it bc there were lots of things like that on the box

Hi Xtr0n1t3, we see you need assistance finding the your device serial number. No worries, we can help you get this straighten out.

Here are the different ways to get the serial number for either your controllers or headset

      • Meta Quest mobile app: Open the Meta Quest mobile app on your phone, tap Menu, then tap Devices. Select your headset. Its serial number can be found here.
      • Meta Quest 2 headset: On the left side of your headset, gently pull the strap connector away from the headset until it pops off. Your headset serial number is right below the QR code.
      • Touch controllers: Remove the battery door from your Touch controller, then remove the battery. Your controller serial number will be on the inside of the controller under the battery, right below the QR code.

We hope this information was really helpful!
