On the Meta website, I found instructions that say there's an option to uninstall, but also to remove the app from the library. Unfortunately, there's no option for uninstalling the app as mentioned in the instructions. And the uninstalled app icon remains. I'm referring to the instructions. Did Meta make a mistake?

This info isn't entirely correct, actually there are only two ways to manage the library.
You have either the "hide" option or the "uninstall and remove" , but not both.
Some accounts have "hide" others have "remove".
Thank you for your reply. It's a bit strange that some people can delete it and others can't. I wonder what causes this. It's also very annoying that now all the potential junk I checked is cluttering up my device even though it doesn't take up any space. I know I can hide it, but I'd rather get rid of it. If I don't want someone to see that I've downloaded an app, for example, I can't delete it. This is unacceptable to me. I don't understand this policy.
I can only tell you how it is .... not why.
You know, I have two accounts, both on the same headset.
On one of them I can remove, on the other I can only hide.🤷♀️
