How does my 13 year old start managing their own account?

How does my 13 year old start managing their own account? I keep getting emailed about my kid needing to start managing his own account, but nothing tells us how to do it? Do I have to convert the child account to a teen account? How? Does he need to create a new account? What is the process? I clicked on the Get Started links in the emails, but it does nothing - I get an error  as below. I have tried this from the app and the web, same result.

    Here is what the support article says about that.

    What happens to a child's Meta account when they turn 13

    He needs an account with his own email address.

    I have no experience with child accounts, so I'm not sure how to transfer games from a child account to a teen account if the teen now has to use their own email address.🤷‍♀️

    Normally, games are tied to the account(email address)

    It might be best to ask support.

      Hi Choleni - yes I saw that article as well - thanks! I am fine creating him a new account, but how do I transfer all the content on his existing child account to the new account? Does that happen automatically or is it something I have to do? None of the documentation tells me how to do that.

        You'd think it should work automatically, but I have no idea how.

        You can't transfer games from one account to another account yourself, only support can do that.

        That's why I gave you the support link. If you use the whatsapp or chat option, you'll get an answer immediately.

        Alternatively send a PM MetaStoreHelp​  here in the forum. They can help you too.

        Click on their name, then click the "message" button.
