How to remove incorrect family supervision link on Meta account?

Hi everyone,

I need help with a supervision issue on my kids’ Oculus Quest accounts.

I have two sons, aged 10 and 11, and each has their own Oculus Quest. I created separate Meta accounts for each of them using their respective email addresses.

I was trying to set up parental supervision by linking their accounts to mine through the Meta Family Center. However, I accidentally linked my 10-year-old’s account as the parent of my 11-year-old, instead of linking both of them to my account as their parent.

Now I need to remove the supervision link between the two of them so I can properly connect both accounts to mine, but I haven’t found a way to do that.

Meta’s support documentation says to:

Tap Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed Tap Family Center Tap the account you want to change, then select Remove supervision

But this option doesn’t appear anywhere for me.

I’ve logged into both accounts, checked both the Meta Horizon app and the Meta website, and I still can’t find any way to remove the supervision link.

Has anyone faced this issue or knows how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

  • What I would give to find a fix for this! I can’t find the parent dashboard that lets you transfer supervision from one parent to another. It’s unbelievable how hard these things are to find!

  • I all Meta Support pages they mention menus and functions that are not available.

  • I have the SAME issue, too. There is no way to remove myself from the account I supervise OR to send the notification to child's account to initiate this process. It describes both options in the direction META puts on their content, but neither one is available in the system.
