I need Help with my oculus quest 1 pcvr (sorry for my bad english)

hello i have an oculus quest 1 and an rx 6500 xt i want to use the quest 1 for pcvr it connects with the app and the quest sees my pc but when i try to connect my quest with my pc it either gets stuck on the loading screen or it just cuts off and throws me back into the main menu i have been searching for months now. i tried older software but i dont understand it that much, alvr worked only 1 time but it cut off after 5 minutes of playing the forest and i never got it to work again

i heard that my graphics card is too bad to run pc vr bc it doesnt have a video encoder or hardware encoder but after i got to play the forest i know that it can play pc vr even if it looks very bad

if you didnt understand something that i said tell me and i can try to make it more understandable

Thank you for the help

  • Try SteamLink first before considering VD. VD performance is slightly better than SteamLink, but about equal with AirLink.

Not a good card for VR!

In Windows advanced graphics settings, disable HAGS (Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling).

If your PC also has an onboard GPU, disable it.

In Oculus Debug Tool, disable Asynchronous Spacewarp.

Hello steve_40 thank you for the fast answer

i know that its a bad card especially for vr but i still wanted to see if it was capable of doing anything

i couldnt find hags in the setting bc AMD dropped support on it

and Asynchronous Spacewarp was already turned off

i dont think my pc is good enough for pcvr but i still want to thank you for trying to help

but can you tell me if virtual desktop is worth a try or if it even works on my pc Thank you.
