First I would like to tell you a little bit more about how our device referral program works:
- To send a referral, you must have a Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S or Meta Quest Pro registered to your Meta account.
- Your friend must be a new Meta Quest user in order to get the referral credit.
- Your friend's device must be a new Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S.
- Both your account and your friend's account must be registered in a country that's supported by Meta Quest.
From the screenshot you sent, we can see that you are trying to send an app referral link instead of a device referral. Don't worry — we've all been there! To send a device referral link, please follow these steps:
- On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
- Tap
Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
- Scroll down, then tap Referrals below Payment and subscriptions.
- Tap Copy to copy your unique referral invitation link, then share it with a friend on the platform of your choice. You can also tap Share to select from sharing options on your device.
- Your friend will receive your referral invitation link. They must accept the invitation, purchase a new Meta Quest device (Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S) and activate the device using a new Meta account.
- You and your friend will each receive the promotional Quest cash when your friend has activated their headset.
