idk what’s wrong with my headset quest 2 problem

I bought this head set quest 2 for 250 and when I first got it it worked normally but after a year it stop working like a normal headset and when I want to turn it on I have to plug the headset in then it starts blinking red and I have to hold down the power button and both volume button for it to work and it keeps doing it over and over and when I do this it takes me to the low battery red big box or something and then I have to do the same thing and after that then it tells me it’s died but it’s not cause when I keep doing it over and over it works but even if I leave it charging and I wake up it blinking red and won’t start if I don’t do all the steps I have to do to make it work and idk if it’s an issue with you guys but for me it annoys me and I feel like to not working and what I was wishing for is a refund or a new headset 2 no controllers needed and the rubber that goes on it when I put it on the headset goes black then when I take it off it turns on  and the face plate also broken the top strap thing that hold the headset with the little black line holding broke and that’s really it thank you for reading this took long and god bless you.

    Have you tried charging the headset with another cable, specifically using a USB-C power delivery cable (a cable that plugs directly into the wall), as well as this, could you detail the damage sustained to the facial interface?

      Yes I have tired that but it still dose the same I tired using other USB chargers and still dose the same thing and I have to do the steps that I do to turn it on

        The damages on the headset are the plug in is a bit black and the top of the strap snap off the black line and that’s it but still not working properly I can’t even do a factory reset cause it won’t let me and just turns off my headset and that’s it thanks and I still want a new headset no controllers needed or a refund

    Wow. That's a lot. I'll try to answer a couple of questions. The little black line that's broke I guess is the anchor bar that holds the strap.. If yo buy a halo style strap, it doesn't need the anchor bar so that's one solution to one problem. Just to be clear, the anchor bar is connected to the device, not the removable face plate. I'm not sure if you are saying that your faceplate is also broken, again you can find a new one online easily if it is. As for your problems with charging you should try factory resetting the headset, it might fix it. It's also possible you got a corrupt software update so try connecting it to your pc and find the meta software update tool and try repairing the software. It might fix it. If none of that works contact Meta support and they may advise you to try something else. The other possibility is that your battery is dead and you might need it replaced. But first, try the fixes I outlined and if it doesn't work contact support. Good luck. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

  • Oh ok thanks but the headset also won’t let me factory reset when I try to it just starts blinking red but I don’t own a pc sadly and yeah that’s it thank you for your help I’ll buy a new face plate and the halo style strap thank you
