I'm being charged for something that looks like subscriptions that I have not made

I need help figuring out why I'm having unauthorized payments to oculus Menlo Park CA I have no subscriptions within my Oculus Rift yet I am paying $30.73 Every month starting from December 30th all the way up to May 30th I do not know why I am getting these payments charged on my credit card I believe there are some form of subscription that I cannot find on my oculus itself or on the actual website but with them always being $30.73 That sounds like a payment to subscription but here's the thing when I look at my billing within my credit card statements it would say oculus then a whole string of letters and a few numbers they all end with D2 and then it would say Menlo Park I have tried to look up information and the closest thing I can find Is that I maybe being charged by Facebook in the total of a $184.38 I do not know what to do i've even tried to talk to my card people and they will not give me anything to help me figure out why I am being charged for all this I've even told them that I am not subscribed to anything on this system I do not authorize these payments yet they can do nothing I have to actually talk to the oculus people to the people that are charging me but yet I cannot find how to do so I would very much like some help here please the closest information I could find with someone dealing with something like this around the time oculus was bought by Facebook one person if I remember correctly hadn't even had a chance to even buy a game and they were already being charged after putting in their credit card into the system I don't know if that was true or not but every single person that I have looked up having issues like this since the only way you can stop this from happening since no one will talk to anyone is by changing your card I would very much like to know if I literally have to change my credit card like I would for someone who has stolen it just to stop these payments

  • Ask your bank to cancel your credit card and issue a new one with a different number. They can't refuse. You should also be able to use your banking app on your phone to lock your credit card.

  • Something strange is going on if you are being charged by Oculus Menlo Park CA. Billing for VR stuff is done by Meta Platforms Technologies Ireland.

There's a couple of games with subscriptions, like Supernatural, but they should be way cheaper than $30.73. The Quest Plus subscription is also a lot cheaper than that.

When you say the website, was it https://www.meta.com/my/subscriptions/ ? Just checking.

Hopefully MetaStoreHelp can track down what's going on.

  • I finally found what it is I have an older model of the Oculus I had been able to get it from a family member I did not know that they had a subscription on there for a WIN Realitymonthly membership baseball subscription that's what was taking my money the moment I added on my credit card onto it transferred that subscription to my credit card So everything is good now I just have to talk to my family that I bought the old oculus from😓 The reason why I did not know about this subscription besides my family members not telling me about it since they forgot is that I was able to get the newer oculus That allows me to actually see better since I have glasses and it's not in black and white so it doesn't give me headaches any more I had never thought to look at the subscriptions to the old system since I have not Added a subscription myself I never thought to look to see if they ever had any subscriptions
