IR emitters on quest 3s headset stopped working after recent update

I noticed after seeing a controller update, for some reason it appears the IR emitters stopped working on the headset as I can no longer play games when it's dark and it struggles tracking even when its just a little dim.

I saw these posts as I was trying to look for a solution, but I checked in settings and they were not enabled so I think this is an issue with the newest update.

Report the bug via the headset Quick Settings>Report Problem.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one mine's just stopped too I'm assuming that it's a update bug I'm not too sure yet but I'm doing lots of research

Yeah I've checked everywhere and there seems to be no solutions as of yet, I've also seen some people with the same problem but no solution.

  • It must be a random bug, my 3s is OK. Have you tried connecting the headset to the pc and running the Meta Software Update tool? It might fix it.

This didn't work for me, it seems to be a problem with the most recent update so I don't think it really did much. Are you using your quest 3s in a dark environment with no hand tracking? Based on things I've seen from other people with this issue is that when hand tracking is enabled it works fine in the dark but once controllers are picked up the emitters turn off.
