Jitters/Stuttering

Having this issue now after using the device for 3 months.  All of a sudden.  It was like it was loading things.  Just 1st 5 seconds... then it was set, unless screen changed, new level, anything changed.  Now... it's 24/7 Jittery.  Got worse.  Before all of this was going well, tried improving things with dedicated Wifi 6 router, play with settings, bought VD etc.  Everything went to hell.  Noticed last night there was a Meta Quest link s/w UPDATE going on too.  Didn't fix anything.

You grievance is vague.  This is supposed to be a back and forth convo.  I'm not gonna put up a HUGE msg with a 1000 details.

    Hey there,

We saw your post on the Community Forum and wanted to lend a hand.

Having an issue where you're jittering/stuttering when your trying to enjoy your favorite games isn't ideal, so we want to provide some assistance to get you back to enjoying those games in the Metaverse! We will leave a few steps below for you to try so we can stop the jittering when your playing a game:

    1. By default, the headset will use 6DoF tracking, unless it has been turned off in the Guardian settings panel or lost tracking while in VR.

    • Click on Quick Settings (clock) in the universal menu.
    • Select Settings.
    • Select Movement Tracking.
    • Locate Headset Tracking.
    • Make sure Headset Tracking is enabled.

    2. Reboot the headset.

    • Turn the headset off, wait a minute or two, then turn it back on.
    • A restart is a little different so turning the headset off is recommended over just restarting.

    3. Check the area you're using the device in and make sure it has a light source in the area.

    4. Clean the tracking cameras on the device.

    5. Remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may affect tracking or pairing (such as controller covers, controller attachments, etc.)

Make sure Headset Tracking is enabled.

      🤦‍♂️

  • I did some more testing and it's DEF. 100% running in Meta software only.  Used SteamVR and VD with no problems.
