Left Controller on Oculus 3

I have a Quest 3, and for some reason, the controllers don't seem to show the correct charging levels.  Both remotes will be charged at 100%.  I am right-handed, and after playing anything using my dominant hand, the right controller will read 100% while the left controller will read 50%.  Anyone else having this issue?  I use rechargeable batteries that came with the official Meta Quest 3 charging dock
