have you considered just using windows for games? You're digging yourself a hole in the ground by continuing to use Linux. I get it, windows sucks, but you're much more limited with what you can do on Linux. Do with this information what you will, but I can't see support for Linux coming any time soon. Alternatively, you can choose to do without PCVR until support arrives, whenever that may be.
Wrong. I have W11, W10 (for a game W11 does not support) and Debian 12 installed. I play all my games on Debian (Linux), they all work perfectly. Windows is no longer needed as a gaming platform. Lutris is a great app to set this all up. But Steam support Linux without Lutris. The only app I have not been able to run, yet, is the Oculus app. I'm still looking for a solution to that, and I think there is one. Meta could easily set this up for us.
In any case, the time has come to quit affirming that Linux is not a gaming platform. It now is, and has been for some time.
Most of the folks that post that drivel are Sh!ttalking. The reality that it works (And has for some time, partly due to my and others' constant work from DECADES ago...oops...) threatens their little feelings of superiority.
