Magnification on Quest 2?

Hi all

I am short sighted and am struggling to read a lot of the text on the screen (all screens).  I have set the font size to largest in the accessibility options.  its almost big enough but not quite.  Copilot AI says there is a magnification function if i have the right firmware?  Magnification of 2x would be fine.  Question is, is this true?  my current accessibility settings screen does not mention it and software update says i am up to date...

If AI is lying to me, what other options do I have?

All help appreciated because I really enjoy looking at the pictures in VR but it would be great to be able to read the text too.

Thanks,

CzechTaff

    I guess, he/she/it? - how do I call AI😂 - do.

You can enlarge the font text, like you did..... but to my knowledge there is no magnifier.

In some apps you might be able to zoom in, or maybe some games give you a magnifier, but it's not a general feature of the Quest.

I'm not sure, maybe the feature screen reader can help? I've never tried it, so I can't say if it works well.

Copilot is hallucinating. One option is to wear glasses after installing the glasses spacer but be very careful not to scratch the lenses of your headset or spectacles. Another option is to get prescription lens inserts for the headset. Another option is to wear contact lenses if you can tolerate them.

I'm a little bit shortsighted. I don't have a high prescription and I ordered prescription lenses from Ali Express as the more well known brands didn't deliver to my country without huge import tax on top of the expensive price already. The ones I got were excellent and such good price I ordered two sets with anti glare and anti blue light and very simple installation. I gave them my number for each eye but they insisted on getting my prescription to ensure it was correct. I was impressed by that ! They're real glass and my experience is perfect. You can order the more expensively priced ones too so not advising you beyond the experience I'm having with mine. I'll say that the price is so good that it's worth taking a chance and they deliver quickly. My import tax is 100% from China and 2 sets still only cost me about $44 inc everything.
