Me and my friend both can’t follow each other

Me and my buddy were already mutually following each other and have played games and called using meta before, however today when we attempted to start a call it wouldn’t work. Neither would messaging. So we unfollowed each other to refollow and now the follow option won’t show up. Any solutions?
