Meta link using 80-100 % of GPU

I have a quest 3/500 and I want to use it to play DCS. I have a powered USB cable that tests at 3.1 gbps. 
9800X3D 64GB 9070XT X870 wifi Tomahawk 850 watt

I can start DCS and it runs for about 10-15mins then it gets jittery for a second or two, then totally green screen for about 10 seconds then black screen and completely unresponsive pc. I have to hard reset. 
I sent the GPU back to Gigabyte and they couldn’t find the issue. The shop I bought it from just gave me a new one because it’s been 7 months now. 
I installed it and it’s doing the same thing so I guess that rules out the GPU.

I looked at task manager yesterday and noticed that just having the Meta link software open and Q3 connected to the PC, it’s using 80-100% without anything else running. Just meta link. 

can someone h help me understand what’s happening and how I can fix it? I only bought the Q3 to use with DCS so I’m pretty bummed out right now.
