Meta Quest 3 - Account Restricted??? How to fix?

Hi Meta and All,

I do no use my Meta Quest 3 as often as I used to when I first got it over a year ago but when I jumped on recently there were certain apps more so relating to the Horizon Worlds and portal I could not access? 
I did not understand why I could not download or access the horizon portal/world until I jumped on the app on my phone and said I violated some code of conduct which I have no idea about. 

I have checked my emails and my account on the meta website and I have not received any email or notification saying I have done anything wrong. 

There is no appeal option also, my account says “good standing”, all my passwords and other details are all up to date. 

So not sure why I can’t access this function or application of the Meta Quest. 

Is there anything else I can do to revert this and have my account I guess unlocked?

I have attached image below showing an example of one of the worlds/apps I can not download and directly from the meta website that my account is all good. 

Frustrating….

  • This usually happens when Horizon-specific safety systems flag your profile, even if your main Meta account still shows “good standing.” That’s why you see no email or appeal option.
    The quickest fix is:


    Contact Meta Support directly and ask them to check for a Horizon Worlds–level restriction on your account — it won’t appear in your main account status.


    Ask them to manually remove or review the flag, since you didn’t receive any violation notice (which is required for enforcement).


    Make sure your age verification is fully completed — missing age data can also trigger restricted access to Horizon content.


    Only Meta Support can lift this type of hidden restriction, but once they review it, they usually unlock the account.

      Thanks for that but where do I contact Meta Support directly? I have been looking everywhere. 

      I am from Australia, so not sure if it is different for everyone else.

      All the age verification and stuff is fine, so thank you for pointing that out.

  • If your Meta Quest 3 account is restricted, try these steps: check for any policy violations or account notifications in the Meta app, ensure your payment info and age settings are correct, and log out then log back in. If the issue persists, contact Meta Support directly for account review and reinstatement.

  • How long did it take you to resolve this? I tried a half dozen attempts and keep getting run around. Meta is full of incompetence

    I am contacting you because I am experiencing a problem when trying to purchase apps on my Meta Quest device. Every time I attempt to make a purchase, the following message appears:

     

    “Unusual activity has been detected and, for your security, this request could not be completed. Please submit an appeal so your case can be reviewed.”

     

    I do not understand why this is happening, as I have not engaged in any improper activity. Additionally, my device is fully updated with the latest software.

     

    I would greatly appreciate your help in resolving this issue so I can make purchases normally.

    Log out and back in, make sure your age verification and account details are correct, and check for any alerts in the Meta app. If everything looks fine but it’s still restricted, you’ll need to contact Meta Support directly through chat or email and ask them to review your account for hidden flags. Only they can remove that kind of restriction.
