Hi Trustnoire,
We understand how this can hinder your creativity when recording content. Properly capturing your gameplay is important, and we want to ensure that you can do so without any hassle.
We appreciate you have already done some troubleshooting yourself, here are a few more things you can try to see if it helps:
- Make sure your headset is completely up to date
- Ensure the volume is not muted or turned down too low.
- Test with multiple games/apps. Try recording audio in different games and apps to see if the issue is specific to one app or a general problem.
- Check Microphone in-game. Some games have their own audio recording settings. Ensure the microphone is enabled within the game itself.
- Reset Microphone: Settings > System > Sound > Toggle Microphone
If this doesn't resolve it you can try hard rebooting the headset using the below steps:
- Turn off your headset completely.
- Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
- Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Boot Device and press the power button.
- Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
If the issue persists please let us know and we will be happy to help troubleshoot further.
No matter how many times I've tried these steps, I've never once heard app audio in any of my recordings. I've been intermittently trying to fix this for ~5 months. This is clearly a known and widespread issue, so maybe ACTUALLY fix the problem by pushing an update? It's 2026 and I've seen posts going back years dealing with this. DO SOMETHING.
