It's a meaningless glitch which should go away after a day or so. I think it's telling you it didn't detect your PC (Link) or something. If you use Link, make sure it is updated and working correctly, then power cycle your PC, then your headset.

Hi steve_40, wish you were right, but it,s been several weeks now.

Oh, I just remembered something. On my headset the message started appearing after I had been using the headset with a wifi hotspot on my mobile phone. After I disabled the hotspot, that's when the message started appearing. I think "unable to join" was because the headset was still looking for the wifi hotspot. I deleted that wifi entry off my headset and the error message went away. So check your headset for old wifi entries that you aren't currently using and remove them ๐.
Hi KM5775โ ๐
I have that message sometimes, too.
But actually that's a pop up shortly before the home, the menu, wifi is fully loaded.
When everthing is working fine, just ignore it.๐

Thank you Choleni MVP

Why thank the self proclaimed mvp's? Anyway, having the same thing going on for a few days since the last update (v83.1034), so as usual, devs messed up. Choleni, its rather annoying and easy to solve by the devs, so lets hope they add some sleep function in it.

ReignSpl0it MVP's are not self proclaimed.. They earn it as a result of the help they voluntarily offer and Choleni provides a lot of help to people. Don't be such a dxxxxxk.

Yeah , don't worry about it. I was getting it too sometimes. It's just the headset opening the store before the wifi actually connects on start up. After a second or two the wifi connects and the message disappears. Coincidentally I upgraded to a WiFi6 router this morning and I'm not getting the message now. Maybe it's just connecting a little bit faster.

Thank you all

I've been getting this on my Quest 2 since it updated to v83.
I assume it has to do with the store or Horizon Worlds. I seldom use the store and Horizon never.
I just ignore it as it doesn't seem to affect anything that I do on my headset.

I was having this error message as well. Mine was related to my slow internet speed. After I replaced the internet modem, my download speed increased 3 times. And now I don't get the "something went wrong" error message.

I also encountered this issue on my Quest 3. The message โSomething went wrong, unable to joinโ kept popping up, and at first I didn't know what to do. Usually, restarting the headset or reconnecting to Wi-Fi helps, and sometimes after updating the software, it stops being an issue altogether.

Actually, you don't have to do anything, the messege goes away by itself.
It's just the moment when you start the Quest and it isn't connected to the internet yet.
At least that's how it is for me. No action necessary.

Still happening on the lastest public build.

If people don't submit bug reports to Meta via the headset Quick Settings, it will never get fixed ๐คทโโ๏ธ.

JorgTheElder Make a bug report through your headset. Putting it here does nothing.
