Meta Quest 3 Stuck In Boot Loop and In Locked State

First of all my headsets lock state says locked, I was just booting up my meta quest 3 to play some gorilla tag(like always) and I was able to boot up the hedseat but the hedseat wasnt tracking properly, i was able to boot up gorilla tag before my hedseat fully shut down, when i tried to boot it up again it started a boot loop. Tried to shut it down using the USB something screen(idk the full name) and forcefully shut it down, boot it up again after 5 minutes, still a bootloop, reset the headset a few more times, boot loop stopped but i still couldnt boot it up, left it there, it booted up, couldnt do anything cause my headset wasnt tracking anything and cameras were just not working, since i couldnt do anything i shut it down, boot loop started again and i currently have the headset shut down, what should i do?

      Why dont you just share the fix? or tell everyone reading the forum that theyre expensive headset is broken and needs to be replaced. how many brand new units did children receive on christmas today that they arent able to use because you make expensive pieces of crap?

      Post the **bleep**ing solutions instead of a DM one on one. bought this thing for Christmas and my kids were exited .Just to find out its garbage that needs to be returned. Stuck on boot and factory reset screen while in a lock state.  With no forums that have solutions.

  • My son has this exact same issue with his brand new Meta quest 3S and on Christmas morning. So dissapointed with Meta's handling of this issue.

    I also encountered this issue in my quest3. After entering safe mode, the menu shows the lock state as "locked," and I can't do anything else. I don't understand why this problem hasn't been resolved after such a long time.

      same problem with me ! meta locked our devices to buy new ones !!

       

  • Hello, everyone i am here to try and help you guys if anyone has this issue still. it is apart of metas anti theft system you just need to reach out to them with a lot of details like your serial number and others, like your email that uses the account and the receipt to the headset. i hope this helped!

  • I have a Meta quest Pro unit cost 1000.00 bought it sept 2023 and I am having boot loop issues as well; we went thru all the reset functions finally got it to boot up and take the software update. Now it won't track and is useless and Meta said sorry it's out of warranty we can't help you. So, a thousand-dollar unit runs out of warranty and there is nothing they can do but tell me to buy a new one, hmm why would I do that with this kind of service.

        Is this different than the software update thru the meta sideload software update? we did that and the boot loop seemed to stop now the headset will not track properly tried rebooting again still won't track.
