Meta Quest 3's systematically breaking shortly after 1 year warranty expires

I hope no one else experience's this.

I have had my Meta Quest 3 for 1.5 years. It is broken due to a firmware and hardware issue. I can see the start up logo, then black and nothing can be done. I tried every step, talked to support, searched the internet to find this is a HUGE problem with many users.

And the worst part? Meta's solution was to offer me $85 off a new device. So not only did I orginally spend $600+ for the device originally, but the "solution" to a device breaking not due to me but due to it's hardware and software, is to spend $500+ on a new device that can't be guaranteed won't break again six months after the warranty expires.

When the hardware and software is having a problem like this, it needs to be addressed, not just swept under the rug. I will not be buying another, and will be warning people not to invest in this device as it is simply not worth the price for the time you get on it before it breaks and Meta pretty much tells you you're **bleep** out of luck.

    Ah yes, the classic tale: device works for 18 months, stops working, and suddenly we're in the middle of a corporate thriller where Meta engineers are cackling in a basement, timing self‑destruct sequences to the warranty clock 🙄.
