Meta Quest 3s Turns on - But Stays on Black Screen

Hello,

I’m hoping someone can help me out. Randomly my Quest 3S headset started to turn on to the Meta logo but then would go to a black screen after that and never actually boot. 

Initially we thought it wasn’t charging properly, but after trying 4 different chargers, cords, boxes and outlets. That doesn’t seem to be the problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated - Thank you

    We know that black screen problems can be scary but you don't need to worry, we are always here to help when you need it.

     

    Thanks for letting us know about the troubleshooting you have already attempted, it will really help us round down the root of your issue.

     

    Please, attempt the following steps to resolve it:

     

    - Please remove any unsupported third-party accessories  that may affect boot (such as external battery packs, accessories that plug into the USB-C port, etc.)

     

    - Hard Reboot the headset Hold down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound

     

    If the boot-up sound is not heard Click on the link above to find how to reboot an unresponsive headset.

     

    If after these steps your headset remains locked in a black screen, you can sends us a message through any of our Support Channels we will be more than happy to assist you to get back into the Metaverse!

  • Hello,

    I did try those steps and I don’t have sound when I initially see the meta logo. Then shortly after it’s black screen and starts black. I can tell that the display is powered on, just stays black.
