Meta Quest 3S will not charge

Hi, I have seen other posts regarding this issue and I have tried the Power button and volume down button for 30s+, nothing happens.

I have tried contacting support, but even though in the Meta Horizons app, the MetaQuest3S shows up in my devices, it does not in the browser, and when I give the ChatBot my SN, it says it cannot be verified, and I did triple check, and I checked the SN in the app on the device and am using that same one. So, since i purchased it from BestBuy in June and not through MetaStore, the bot is blocking me from contacting support, and the device will not sync between the app and the website.

I have tried 5, known/verified working chargers, and nothing happens. I left it charging for 48 hours to be completely sure, and nothing. No LEDs, no sound, nothing.

What am I supposed to do if I can't get in contact with support?

  • Hi Kpcranorโ€‹ ๐Ÿ™‚

You can try if blip charging helps.

About the serial number....you'll probably need the serial number from the box.... not from the headset itself.

If this also doesn't work or you don't have the box anymore, contact support via email, chat or Whats App here:

or by sending a PM MetaStoreHelpโ€‹ here in the forum.

  • It doesn't matter if you didn't buy it from Meta as Best Buy is an official seller. As Choleni says, try the blip charging. Also is right about the serial number, you need the one on the box. Honestly I cannot understand why they put 2 different serial numbers as it's confusing. I have never in my experience seen that and I wonder how many people just throw away the box thinking that the only serial number they need is the one on the device. I was lucky enough to notice they were different before I threw the box away.

Maccyb123โ€‹  because the serial number on the box is for the whole set - headset, left controller, right controller. You only need  this number for all of the parts to claim your warranty, instead of looking in batterie compartments or on the headset for the individual serial number of each part.

Actually, the idea isn't that bad....... problem is, nobody knows about it.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

There is no "please, insert serial number fom the box" or a note on the box to keep the number(take a photo or write it down) which would prevent people from getting frustrated when they try to claim their warranty.๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

Ah yes! I never thought of that! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. You are right, they should put a BIG warning on the box to keep a record of the box number. They don't do that and a lot of people throw it away as soon as they can. I would have done it too, but my wife always keeps packaging for a while.... Just in case! ๐Ÿ˜œ She has a PhD and I don't so she's smarter than me!
