Meta Quest Link app version 76.0.0.452.315 has stopped eye tracking with Quest Pro

I fly in DCS World using Quad Views with eye tracking, 6 days ago my Quest Link updated to version 76.0.0.452.315 and today is the first time flying in over a week and eye tracking has stopped.

Quad Views log shows "No data received from the eye tracker in 60 seconds! Image quality may be degraded"

Quad Views itself and DCS World can see each other, but nothing is coming out the Pro to indicate eye position.

It's fine in HorizonOS (v74) and eye tranking calibrates and tests fine. Yes dev mode is on in phone app and Quest Link, and eye tracking enabled as it's always been.

The difference is the update to 76.0.0.452.315

I see others have similar issues and have rolled back to QL V74 as a workaround.

Personally, I'd rather have a fix please 🙂

    Rolling back to V74 works, but after a few minutes it autoupdates to V76 despite "auto app updates" turned off in settings > general

    OK so used adb to sideload the lastest V76 firmware from 'that website' with the very dodgy name as per the Youtube video at the thread linked in my last, and eye tracking is now working with V76 of the Quest Link

    Tensorial_Architect on the DCS forums says he/she has raised this with Meta, and a fix (presumably for Meta Quest Link) has been released as of 19 April.

    But I don't see that as being available through Library > Updates

      I didn’t see any updates over the weekend, well I will have a look today and if nothing I will try the fix you said

    Hi, same problem here on our C++ OpenXR application.
    Eye tracking stopped working when the PC Quest Link updated to v76.
    Despite the madness of all this (Meta to break the major feature of an equipement that cost 1000€, no QA upfront, no communication about the issue, no possibility to rollback) knowing they are aware of the issue and working on a fix is rather good news.

    I switched to PTC, hoping I can get this fix asap, will keep you posted.

    Update : with PTC enabled, the PC and MQPro are now both on v76 :
     - Eye tracking is back
     - BUT, we lost the ability to know if the eyes are closed or open... (so far we relied on the eye reading confidence)

    I still don't understand why Meta owns the right to forcibly break features, as it is almost impossible to stop the updates and each new version is prone to break things on the headset.

      I forced the Qpro to V76 using the adb sideload tool and eye tracking came back. Don't know about open or closed thing, but interesting to know.

      I agree that Meta's approach to upgrades and very poor communication is a major problem. Given I'm using Link via USBC to connect headset to PC, they should sync versions to be feature compatible. I shouldn't have to rely on youtubers and very dodgy sounding website to get access to latest firmware for the headset, because I cannot do this manually  through device - I tried using the Meta update tool online, and it wouldn't detect the headset over USBC though sideload tool did!
      Think I'll be using a Pimax Crystal device next. Meta aren't interested in those that use VR for PC gaming

    My Quest Pro was upgraded to V77 with PTC enabled. The Quest Link software is also the latest with PTC. But Quadviews reports no eye tacking data after playing DCS World. Quadviews worked very well in DCS before these updates. I really hate spending time to figure out the fix for the features I paid $1500 plus tax. Any suggestion?

    Yep ... having the same issue.  Every time there is an update something usually breaks ...grrrr.

    I was forced to update from v74 to v76 yesterday, since Quest Link stopped working (it couldn't connect, so the only way to try and fix it, was to update to the latest version, since nothing else wasn't fixing that issue).

    And now eye tracking doesn't work in DCS for me as well.

    The Quadviews works with Virtual Desktop that needs a twist in VD configuration file to get the parameters of QV you want. But the video quality of VD is still not as good as the link cable. The performance improvement of QV is similar to DLSS 4. I will live with Link Cable using DLSS 4 J setting until Meta fixes the eye tracking. I just upgraded to 9800x3d with a new motherboard. After that, got hit by bugs from WD SN770 (fixed by new firmware), bugs of VD (need latest update) and bug of link cable. Then DCS took long time to load after the latest update. Oh my god!

      No idea what you are going on about, I use quad views without using virtual desktop and use a link cable myself to connect my quest pro to my desktop

        My QP is v77 and Meta Link software is the latest (PTC enabled or not). The log file of QV said No eye tracking data received within 60 seconds or some XR session error messages after playing DCS with eye tracking/Quadviews enabled. Some people said it works after upgrading to v76 but my QP went to V77 due to PTC and won’t have a chance to test v76.

    People also reported eye tracking issue with V76. I did sideload OGO and some small games, not the OS itself. Don't like to take risk to get short term workaround that might not work. Now my Meta Quest Link and QP are all V77 with PTC enabled (tried disabled PTC of Quest Link before). Will wait until Meta fix this issue. Before that, DLSS 4 or VD with QV are my easy work around.
