I haven't even been using my oculus mets quest 3s for a month and this morning I got up and wanted to turn them on, the home logo appears but when it has to start the main menu it stays on a black screen, I tried to restart it and reset it from the factory as I found in forums but it still has the problem please I need help since I work with this

  • Hi DanielRivas18 🙂

The reason for the black screen can be a defective or blocked proximity sensor. If so, the headset doesn't "realize" it's worn and the screen remains black.

Another reason for the black screen can be sweat - for example, if you play games that makes you sweat a lot -  that found it's way into the headsets.

If the black screen is caused by sweat, you might be lucky and can solve the problem by using a hairdryer - carefully, no heat - as it is shown in the video.

A defective proximity sensor can be replaced.

If you are located in the USA you can try "Fix my Oculus" for repairs.

If you live in another country, just google "vr headset repair service".

And of course, if you still have warranty, you can contact support via email, chat or WhatsApp HERE

The black screen can simply mean that the "automatic wake" setting is toggled off or not working (v85 bug) and you need to press the power button briefly to wake the screen again. There has been a cluster of this issue.
