Multiple issues with new metaquest 3s

My kids just bought a headset yesterday and we keep running into problems. Is this just normal glitches for this thing? This is our first VR headset, but we use multiple game consoles so we're not tech illiterate.

-kid account just doesn't work. They send a request to play a game, I allow it, it makes me go to a purchase page even though we've already downloaded the game and I've allowed app sharing on the device. I purchased it for free, and it still doesn't give kid access to game. I've allowed them to play up to Teen games and this is a teen game (swarm).

-I let them play on my account and the game (swarm) just doesn't load when I click on it. It eventually just worked, but it took multiple tries with me turning the device on and off repeatedly.

-library is often blank. we've downloaded three games from the horizon+ service and they don't show up.

-menus regularly disappear, or only the little bar at the bottom appears but when I click on an icon it doesn't open up the window. I've restarted the headset 4 times today.

It's really fun when it works, but is this normal? Is there some sort of network issue I'm unaware of?

  • Sometimes downloading a game on one account and playing it on another doesn't work. I think it's a way to prevent people from playing games on their friends' accounts, essentially giving them the game for free. But as for the kid account thing I am not sure as I never used one before but the whole "parental lock" things on these services rarely ever work so that could be the issue I am not 100% sure though as I have a quest 2 with an unrestricted account I would maybe try reinstalling swarm on just the adult account and see if that works if it doesn't I am sorry I don't know how else to help
