My quest 2 cannot recognize my location or controllers after I updated my oculus

I haven't used my Oculus in roughly a year, so i got on and played a game or 2, then I went to play beat saber and it required a software update, when I updated my oculus could no longer recognize my controllers in games, but it could in the menu, so i thought it was just a bug, turned the headset off then back on, and now it cant find my location when it was able to find it just fine before the update, and now after the update I cant get my controllers to connect as well so now I cant even check settings or anything. I have tried Turning it on and off again, and taking the batteries out of the controllers but that hasn't solved anything.

Saw some posts from a few months ago but no one seems to have posted a resolution so I am posting to maybe get some help, since my headset isn't in a warranty anymore am i just screwed out of my money because of one bad update or is there some simple fix I am overlooking?

    Hi there AtomicSqwert,

We noticed your post, and we would love to help!

From the sounds of it, this could be a failed update on your headset causing this, so we would suggest using the Meta Quest Software Update Tool.

It is super easy to use, just select your device and follow the on screen instructions, this will the force your headset to reinstall the latest version of software available to it.
