You can try using different USB and DisplayPort ports. Reinstall the Oculus software and update your GPU drivers.

The rift s has been disconnecting for me since april.
What happens is itll play soundly for a few hours and cut out and completely crash the mobo usb controller and reset all my devices .
And since wednesday ive not been able to connect at all due to the usb port reset.
What i suggest is
Dont go into devmgr and uninstall the 20 some odd recognised devices that are attributed to oculus - as windows shall only install the drivers from the software app - and unfortunately theyre crank!
Dont reinstall/factory reset or completely fricking wipe ys pc as mentioned prior ; the goons are meta are morons with more a.i than QA/QC it shall install the same usb
Dont go into your bios and change anything there.
It is a usb driver issue.
And if you want to join the PTC ( private test channel)
And get the best of their cranky drives
Untested and fresh.
By all means.
But maybe dont get too hopeful
Because theyll install the same drivers.
Do a daily check.
Maybe in a few days they release something that only farts in bed and doesnt completely **bleep** the house
And remember, remember to never buy meta crap again
