My WiFi keeps disconnecting???

Ok so I’ve had my headset for about a year or 2 and a while ago I stopped playing it because my controller broke but now that I’ve come back it’s randomly started having my WiFi disconnect every few minutes and it’s kinda annoying because I have to connect to my phones hotspot and my hotspot is very slow, I’ve tried everything like factory reseting twice and forgetting my WiFi all of that stuff and none of it worked

Have you tried to connect to a different WiFi to test?

If you can, that means the issue is with your router. You might need to restart or reset the router. The fact that it works on your hotspot suggests that it isn’t the Quest.

  • i have a similar issue, mine keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to 5Ghz and 2.4, and vice versa, hotspots work. if you havent found a way to fix it then what you can do is; get your laptop or PC connected to the network you tried to connect to, then use the hotspot on there, connect your quest, ive found its much faster on my laptop then on my phone, i hope this helps. keep in mind downloads may take a while but it depends on your hotspot strength, but its fine for online games.

    Hey invictuss!

We know a reliable Wi-Fi connection is really important to a great a VR session, so we're here with some helpful tips to get you back online.

Firstly, if you have any third-party accessories attached (such as headset covers, etc.), we'd recommend removing those.

To help prevent issues like this in the future, connect to the problematic network and submit a bug report

As d0gg mentioned, it's a good idea to connect to a different network and see how the performance compares.

If you're still experiencing disconnects on another network, please send us a DM so we can gather some more information on the problem from you!
