Need help with my meta quest 3s xbox edition

Hello I bought my meta quest 3s xbox edition about month and an half ago. I played with it a few time and then put it back into the box. Open again today and the controllers show that they are there but can not select anything. So done some research and said you can put it back to factory settings,did that and now it saying I have to pull the strips from the controllers but they are not there anymore. Has anyone else had this problem and how do I resolve it please help thank you

    That's a strange one. Pulling out the strips enables the battery power. Before you get to that point, take the batteries out of the controllers and when it gets to the point where it says pull out the strips, just put the batteries in, it will look like you pulled out the strips. Maybe it will work. Good luck !

      Maccyb123​  you'd think that would be the case, but after the controllers are first initialised, they get updated, and a subsequent power up by removing the battery does not put them in pairing mode as this would happen every time the batteries went flat. Even the meta recommended process of factory resetting the contollers doesn't work. Perhaps the three contact pads in the controller battery compartment may allow you access to reset the controller.

        Good point . I was just thinking that after factory resetting it might work. I factory reset mine and I went through the setup process and now, as you mentioned it, I remember it didn't ask me to pull out the strips. Ah well, it was just a thought !
