NVIDIA 50-series support for Quest Link App

I had a quick question about official support for NVIDIA 50-series cards when it comes to the Quest Link app. I just finished a chat with NVIDIA and they referred me to Meta support. It sounds like a dumb question but the 50-series isn't listed anywhere in the Meta supported cards and I wanted to be absolutely sure

    Hi Ashkelo

Even if a large range of NVIDIA GPU are compatible, NVIDIA 50-series GPU isn't part of the list.

We encourage you to check on our website the PC requirements to use Meta Quest Link.

Are there any updated information about this topic?

or do your team plans to support NVIDIA 50-series ?

I'm using RTX5080 and Quest3s, the quest link app does not work on my machine 😞

Would this be why I cant get the Quest Link App to install? I only bought this Q3 for MSFS/DCS being linked to my PC.

"NVIDIA 50-series GPU isn't part of the list. "

We know they aren't part of the list, that's the problem. Stop giving us a canned response when what needs to be done is for the list to be updated to INCLUDE 50-series GPU's

50 series are the latest line and becoming more common in systems every day. This is what people are saving up for and buying and have been out since January this year.

I know you want people to play standalone but a large number of people also buy your headset to play PCVR too. Why do you think the Quest 3 is the most populat headset on Steam now?

  • Running MSFS2020 I have been using the link quite happily with my GTX 1080Ti, but I decided to upgrade to an RTX 5060 yesterday, and I was shocked to read it wasn't supported. I ran the sim in 2d, and the graphics settings defaulted to high, and I got detailed scenery. When I tried with the headset, it was very jerky. I reset the graphic settings to medium, and got acceptable performance in VR. It rather defeated the object of the upgrade.

  • I upgraded my pc to 9800x3d/rtx5090 +3 months ago and it continues to work great with both my Q3 and QPro using Link and Air Link.  I think the first time I ran these I got the Unsupported message.  I just ignored this and I never got that again.

Depends on the game/sim but I’m generally seeing about 30-40% performance improvement over my older pc (now my backup/home office pc) with i913900k/rtx4090.
