Oculus 2 Game Audio Isn't Working

I've had my Oculus 2 for quite some time now, but recently I haven't been able to use it to play any games.

When in the main hub the audio works fine coming out of the device, but the moment I open steam and try playing any of my games like I would before such as Beat Saber and BOXVR the audio stops working.

If I look on my pc I am able to see that it says "Steam Link Audio is disabled one or more steam streaming audio endpoints are disabled"

I have gone through all of my computer's settings to make sure everything is enabled and that I have the computer set to the correct audio output when playing, steams settings, meta quest phone and computer app, and the oculus's settings themselves and nothing works. I have even factory reset my Oculus to see if that would fix it, but no.

I've also tried connecting wirelessly and wired to the PC

How can I fix this??

When you say "main hub" do you mean before you link the Quest to pc?

There are several threads about audio issues with link recently....onr of them here:

Yeah by hub I mean when you first turn on the quest and you are on the screen for options and apps, the sound is fine even when it connects to the pc it's just when I start up the steam link that the audio stops. When I am in the steam link area and "pause" to onto any of the other menus though the Oculus sound effect audio (not game audio) still works because I can hear it when I hover over the different options the moment I "resume" game audio doesn't work and neither does the Oculus sound effect audio

BlazeMaster02 You said that you tried all steps steve_40  suggested.
Have you also tried if uninstall/reinstall of steam helps?
That's probably what I would do.... hoping this will magically fix the issue😅

Check in Windows Services that Steam Client Service is running. Also check in Windows Device Manager that the Steam Streaming Speakers and Steam Streaming Microphone are enabled and working under Sound, video and game controllers AND Audio inputs and outputs. Also, check Windows sound settings and make sure Speakers (Steam Streaming Speakers and Speakers (Steam Streaming Microphone) are enabled. Your Windows audio output device needs to be Speakers (Steam streaming speakers) when connected to your headset.

Also try opening SteamVR on your PC and see if it tells you that it needs an update.

If everything seems OK, then try rebooting the PC.

I've already tried all of that though and still nothing, that's why I even attempted to factory reset the Oculus and still nothing even after uninstalling all the hardware from the computer too :/

I've no idea what has happened or why because it was working fine then one day just game audio stopped for no reason😣

I'm not sure about that steve_40 ..... in my settings, it's set to "Oculus Virtual Audio Device"  and the sound in games on steam is working fine??

Choleni You're probably using QuestLink not SteamLink then. OP is using SteamLink:
