Oculus 3 help

My oculus 3 for some reason sounds like it is breathing when I plug it up to charge.   Also there is a black screen.  When its not charging I push the power button and no light comes on or a screen, but you can hear the fan come on and go off and repeat.  I took the face off to check the fan to see if it was damaged and it was not.  I tried holding the volume  button down with the power button but the fan just starts "breathing"  again and nothing is happening.  I have the elite strap with the battery pack on it and I disconnected that as well, but nothing is working.  Please help.

    Thank you for crating a post and for attempting to troubleshoot on your own.

     

    We can see here that you are having an issue with your Quest 3 not turning on after you experienced some fan issues.

     

    We are going to walk you through a couple troubleshooting steps that might help get you back into the Metaverse.

     

    Firstly, please make sure all third-party accessories are removed from your device and your headset has sufficient battery charge by leaving it to charge for 2 hours, please take a note what color the charging LED is after 2 hours, as this can help determine what issue you are facing.

     

    After you have charged your headset for 2 hours and the LED is green, you should be able to turn it on. If you are still seeing a black screen after you have powered on your headset, we would ask that you try hard rebooting your headset, 

     

    • Pressing the power and volume down button simultaneously for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound. 
    • Use the volume buttons to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button.
    • Using the volume buttons highlight "Yes" and press power button.  

    After you have charged your headset and the battery is red or you have tried the above steps and it is still not working, would we ask that you contacts us privately be clicking on your profile and selecting message, making sure you are logged into your account.
