Oculus Software says my computer doesn't meet the updated minimum specifications

  Hey there, I have the same issue too! i have met all the requirements but stills says the same thing and it giving me some a little bit of a headache!!! my specs:
  gpu: rx 6650 xt
  cpu: ryzen 5 5600x3d
  32 gb of ram
  1 usb 3.2 port
  windows 11

  do you have a real answer to the actual question as i have the same issue
  i can play and run VR fine, i am well above the min specs but i still get the error, your pc doesnt meet the min specs,
  
  i am using
  ryzen 7 5800x as per the official meta recommended spec
  i have a 6800xt and a 7900xtx, 6 series amd is also on the supported list
  if i swap the 6800xt for the 7900xtx i still get the same message even though its a superior card
  i have 32gb ddr 4 memory "above recommended spec"
  i am on windows 11 - on recommended spec
  i have a usb c port, port tested in meta app at 2.5bgps
  
  why when i open the oculus app do i get told my pc doesnt meet the minimum requirements ?

  If you're seeing an error about the minimum requirements, you can check this link to make sure your specs are PC VR ready. Please keep in mind that not all GPUs are listed, so if yours isn't on there we can't guarantee compatibility. You can always send you PC logs over to the support team as well. That's the best way for them to better determine what could be causing your issue.

    If Meta can't even keep up with current technology, that just makes us (the consumers) think buying one is a mistake. We are not going to keep OUR hardware at a specific level JUST to be compatible with YOURS. Why is it too much to expect that a large company like Meta be able to update the compatibility jsons in the software?

I have same problem on my PC (not laptop) with i5 12400F and Nvidia 3070Ti with 16gb ram.
I have big staggering and bad fps, I didn't have this problem one month ago
On my old PC it works normal AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Radeon 580 16 gb ram
Its funny, you buy yourself new gaming pc for VR and you cant game on it

  In my case, I had to throw in my old 3070 just to satisfy the requirements of the software. In other words, I have an additional GPU in my system that I'm not even bothering to use (I only have so many monitors, you know).

Well, This is hardly the satisfying solution I was hoping to find here. I literally just bought a new PC (13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700KF with Nvidia RTX 4070 and 64g of DDR5 ram) for the singular purpose of VR gaming with my Meta Quest Pro.
Everything worked fine on my old Alienware laptop, and I naïvely thought a better PC would allow me to increase the framerate of my MetaPro above the paltry 72mhz I was achieving before.
Boy, was I wrong, I failed to consider that Meta Platforms, a technology company, would allow an essential software, the only compatible OpenXR Runtime for a Meta brand VR headset mind you, to be incompatible with advancing tech....
Whatever term describes the opposite of future-proofing, one might well apply here.
Hey, Zuck! If you want to share your vision of a VR/XR "metaverse" with the world. Perhaps one of your employees could manage the minutiae of things such as compatibility with the latest tech.
Forward compatibility should be established, maintained, and ensured; not neglected. The aftermath then delegated to a chatbot poorly triaging customer casualties relegated to an obscure corner of "metacommunityforums/help/oculus".
I think closing my position in Meta would be prudent at market open tomorrow, and reallocating capital into TSLA. Meta Platforms is spreading itself thinner without attending to the internal infrastructure, and look how well that worked out for the Roman empire. You could learn a thing or two from Elon.

  The only way Meta/Facebook will truly understand the concept of "future-proofing" is when they lose revenue or potential revenue doesn't come in. Complaining doesn't work, forum posts don't help, and I doubt they have any staff assigned to improving the processes. Reallocate that capital ASAP. If words won't do the talking, perhaps money will.

  Got the same specs as you just with a 4060Ti. The Rift app still says I "don't meet the specs" but I am WELL within the spec and recommended spec range. I am considering moving on to the Index, Bigscreen Beyond, or whatever is the newest from Vive. I just haven't gotten anything new as my old broken Quest 1 is still hanging on by a thread.

    Besides the small problems, I'm very happy with Quest 3 and haven't see the annoying message I was complaining about.
    Before buying anything, compare the different VR devices here: https://vr-compare.com/
    IMHO Quest 3 still has the better price/features in the market.
    Be aware that to get smooth play on Quest 2 and Quest 3 you should have a dedicated or very idle wifi 6 router.

They never answer. It's like they are either ashamed they dropped the ball or just don't care. I think it's the latter. After all, now they have the Quest 3! I'm sure this one will be compatible with our hardware, right? However, even if it is, what's to say when the next generation of hardware comes out, they just won't repeat the cycle and not bother to update the software to be compatible? The fact they never respond doesn't exactly inspire me to go out and spend more money on ANOTHER headset. I might be inclined to give another company my money instead, perhaps one that responds to user feedback rather than one that ignores it. That is, after all, the only way they'll learn they done F-d up.

I am seeing the same message in the Oculus app on my new PC. It is way above the minimum specs: 13th Gen I7, RTX 4070, 32 GB RAM.
I have the latest drivers installed from NVidia. The PC link to my Quest 2 does work, but it is flaky which may be normal. However the warning message gives me pause.

  And this is why, whenever I see the ads on Facebook for the Meta Quest 3, I find it EXTREMELY difficult to come up with a reason why I'd want to buy it after buying the MQ2 and dealing with this. It's extremely lazy to not keep software compatible with highly popular hardware brands, but we're supposed to shell out even more money for the latest headset? I don't think so.

  This is effectively the same machine I've recently acquired to run VR for my office. 13th 13700 CPU, 4070 GPU, 32GB RAM,... This should be overkill according to the list of "recommended" specs for a machine! Why doesn't the Quest link work on this machine? Very annoying!

I'm having the exact same issue. My specs:
Ryzen 7
NVIDIA GTX 4090, 8GB VRAM
32GB RAM
I shouldn't be having any issues. My Predator was dying out, so I upgraded and now I can't use my VR? What in the hell is going on?

I suspect it is simply a matter of updating the list of system parameters to reflect advancements in CPU and GPU capabilities. Apparently if it doesn't see a match in its list them it pops up that message.

It seems a lot of people all have the same issues. Including myself. My problem is a little more specific. The reason the message is on my screen according to the installation. It says my graphics cards (2) 1 is under specs (Intel UHD graphics) and 2. My video card XFX GTX 8 series does not have the latest drivers but they are the latest, and have been triple checked.
After installing META main application, the headset is working. When setup steps are completed. the app reboots the headset stays off because its claiming the above problems.
Are there any steps to overcoming this issue?
