Order #'s created has no meaning ?

After over a month of contradictory useless cut and pasted replies, I received what I hoped was good news. 

A week ago, I got an email that said:

 "To make things right, I’ve personally created a replacement order for your missing controllers Right Controller: Order #***
 Left Controller: Order #***"

A week goes by and I hear nothing so I tried to follow up and naturally, received more "Just go away" replies. 

It would seem that others have got these 'orders created numbers' that meant nothing and in some cases, months later they get an email stating the order was canceled with no explanation.

I noticed on the BBB site that the Texas AG has investigated Meta in the past. 

Does anyone think contacting them would help? Or should I accept the obvious fact that my controllers ended up on eBay and I should just give up?
