It's a sad fact of life. If a product is out of warranty and it breaks, there is nothing to be done. It's the same for every product you buy whether it's a laptop, TV, phone or anything else. Why would you expect anything different? I had a laptop with a lot of expensive software and paid content on it.. Of course it was backed up but when the thing died outside of warranty I had to buy a new one. You have to decide whether you want to spend $400+ on a new headset in order to keep your 700 games, or just let them go. You could pay $3,500 for an Apple Vision Pro and if it dies outside of warranty you won't have a different outcome. On your receiving date. If someone bought it for you for Christmas, it's only November 18th so it's either still under warranty or you got it in September or October of 2024. If you didn't set up and register your device/account until Christmas then the warranty might still be there. You also have an option to get it repaired. There is a guy, think he is in the US called Fix My Oculus, you can find his YT channel or if you're not in the US there could well be a 3rd party repair service in your own country. I hope you get it fixed. As you have invested so much it might be worth getting another Quest, but you'll have to decide if it's for you.
Also I have been trying over a year with them back and forth over this...this didn't just happen.. Ive tried.. Really wish you could talk to someone there instead of messaging.
