Parental control

My child installed the Meta Quest 3. I installed the Meta Horizon app. I had to give permission installing it since he is not 13 years old yet. They asked to install a parental control which I wanted to do but the question disappeared before I could do anything. On the Meta Horizon app, I want to change the time limit but it looks grey and I can not push any limit. Not when I choose the settings of my child nor when I choose for the name of myself. I can not do anything to change it.

    Hi QuirkySwordfish9106,

Thank you for reaching out with the problems that you've been having with setting up your child supervision settings.

We know how important it can be to have the right supervision settings in place for your child, and to have the peace of mind that they are in a safe, fully controlled VR environment.

To be able to adjust the daily time limits on your child's account, it can be done either from the Meta Horizon app, or alternatively from your Meta Family Center.

    From the Family Center.

    1. Go to Family Centre and log in to your Meta account.
    2. Below Family members, select the account that you want to manage time limits and breaks for.
    3. Select Manage time limits.

    Meta Horizon Mobile App.

    1. On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
    2. Tap Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
    3. Tap Family Centre.
    4. Below Family members, select the account that you want to manage time limits and breaks for.
    5. Tap Manage time limits.

If you are unable to access the settings from either source, then please send our Meta Store Support team a Private Message, and we would be happy to check the status of your account, and establish if anything went wrong with setting up the parent supervision.

    Thanks!
