Please restore created avatar deletion!

I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to remove the created avatar in my Meta Quest 2 headset.  It is one I started to create, decided I didn't like it, and exited without saving.  However, it saved anyway.  Now, there is no way to remove it.  Seeing it in my peripheral vision and seeing my arms in front of me when I play is very distracting. I absolutely hate it, and now I can't get rid of it.

I have gone several rounds with Meta support, and their suggestion was to do a factory reset on my headset.  What? NO!  Deleting an unwanted avatar should take couple of clicks at most, not inconvenience the user to do a factory reset.  

Since the internet is full of instructions for how to delete a created avatar it is obvious that at some point this functionality was available.    

I cannot understand why this capability was removed.  it is ridiculous and very poor customer service to prevent users from deleting something they themselves created.  Based on other social media postings, I am not the only user frustrated by this inability to delete an avatar. 
 
Please, Meta developers, RESTORE the functionality for users to delete their created avatars.

    The Horizon feed and avatars on Meta feel like they’ve been pushed onto users without choice. It would be much better if we had the option to disable these features—especially for those of us who aren’t interested in using them.

    Hope upcoming updates will give us more freedom in that regard.

    我找到方法了，创建多个虚拟形象，然后在切换界面就出现删除按钮了，删除那个你正在使用的虚拟形象就行了

      Thanks for the workaround.. yet I still think that we shouldn't simply just have features like an avatar removal taken away from us.
