You are actually on a version of macOS that is to new. Ventura is not officially supported. If you can get Rosetta installed it might work...
- Safest bet: If you’re running macOS Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey, you’re within the officially supported macOS versions—and should (in theory) be able to install and use the app without major problems.
- Monterey caveat: Be aware that even within supported versions, users have experienced issues—especially if running the latest sub-release (e.g., 12.7.6). If you’re on Monterey and having trouble, you might need to look into troubleshooting steps, roll back to an earlier minor version
- Ventura or newer: Keep in mind that Ventura isn’t officially supported. If you’re on macOS 13 and attempt to install it, you might need Rosetta 2 to get it running—and even then, experiences vary.
If you’re planning to use Meta Quest Remote Desktop on your Mac:
- Stick to Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey for best results.
- If you’re already on Ventura (macOS 13) or newer, be prepared for potential workaround requirements (like Rosetta 2) and inconsistent results.
- Keep an eye on official Meta release notes or support docs—future updates may expand compatibility to later macOS versions.
