Product Safety Alert - Oculus Quest 2

Okay so Amazon sent me a product safety alert a few days ago about a INIU portable charger (completely unrelated to any Oculus or Meta device), but below it was an old product safety alert for my Oculus Quest 2 and it was dated July 27, 2021 !  I was never notified about this and would have never known without that other alert that I'm wearing something on my face that could catch fire !

I've looked all over the Meta site but can't find any customer service chat option or even a phone number.  Please help !  I don't know what to do with my Oculus Quest 2 now.

Does anyone else know about this alert and how to resolve it ?  I don't want to just throw it away, I paid $400 for it.  I hope Meta customer service sees this and lets me know what to do about this.

    There was a safety recall a few years ago with the facial interface foam on some Q2 units causing skin irritation, and free cover for it is offered. That's the only one I'm aware of.

    steve_40 is right. My brother got this way back then and it was just related to the foam on the facial interface and people got new ones for free. If your Quest 2 was made after this date, the foam will be different and you have nothing to worry about. If the device was manufactured before August 2021 you should contact support. Though I imagine yours is newer than that. 🙂

    As I remember that, people didn't get a NEW imterface.

    They got a free silicone cover, later these silicone covers where in the package when buying a Quest 2.

      Choleni Yes , that's true. I did say it was just related to the foam on the facial interface and they got a new one. I was talking about the foam. 😁

        Sorry, i meant foam, not interface.🙃

        But they didn't get a new foam, they got some silicone thing to cover the foam.

    Thanks for all the replies and info, I meant to close out this issue a week ago but worked too much to remember my own name.  Glad to hear that my face won't catch on fire !  I haven't had any skin irritation or anything other than "losing time" and waking up with my boots caked with mud when I didn't even go out the night before but that may be a separate issue.
